Managed video solutions leader Envysion is enhancing their brand, taking an integrated offering to market alongside restaurant POS solutions provider and PF Toast. The partnership will enable the pair of companies to offer a unified set of loss prevention tools to the restaurant vertical. 

The goal of the partnership is to provide business operators with deeper insight and a more comprehensive understanding of all in-store operations – from any location, at any time and from any device, according to the press release.

So how exactly do they plan to do this? Their combined solution includes a range of real-time reporting from Toast – including POS, accounting, business intelligence, security and operations reports. And with Envysion’s technology, this data can be verified in high definition and from multiple angles, potentially reducing employee theft and fraud.

“The best loss prevention programs in restaurants today require a close relationship between data and video. Using video to verify exceptions, transactions, and identify underperforming elements of the business brings new clarity and decisiveness to a business operator,” says Envysion Director of Audit Programs Kevin Milner, via the same release. 

He goes on to explain that “adding Envysion’s video solutions to Toast’s POS and business management systems gives restaurant leaders confidence in the accuracy and quality of their data to make smarter business decisions faster — all while saving time and money.”

Applicable uses include the ability to monitor and greatly reduce unauthorized transactions, as well as any inefficient or improperly executed workflow procedures typically found in the BAU restaurant model, according to the same release.
